The NRCC Networking Meeting in Murmansk in the framework of the project “Networking Arena – North” took place on the 19th of March 2014.
The NRCC Networking Meeting was devoted to the prospects of cooperation between Norway and Murmansk region in fishing industry.
Ole Andreas Lindeman, the Council General of the Norwegian Consulate General in Murmansk, has welcomed the
participants and told about the prospect and possibilities of making business in Murmansk region. Elena Tikhonova, the Minister of Economic Development of Murmansk region, took part in the meeting and informed about the strategic planning of business development in the Murmansk region. Yuriy Zadvorniy, owner of the company “Murmanseld 2”, gave the information about the experience concerning the building of fishing vessels for his company abroad. Sveinung Giske, General Manager of F&SPV Rolls-Royce Marine, made the presentation about modern technologies and partnership for construction of new fishing vessels. Yuriy Kilashin, the representative of company “Russian Sea”, informed the participants
about extended cooperation with Norwegian businesses on fish farming development. Chief Operating Officer of “Akva Group” Trond Severinsen told about the development of aquaculture in Northwest Russia. Jarle Forbord, Managing Director of NRCC, and Ulrich Kreuzenbeck, Managing Director of “FIBA” shared the plans and main activities of their companies for this year.
Kristin Hoiby, Consul Economic Relations of Norwegian Consulate General in Murmansk, gave the closing remarks and thanked the participants for the productive meeting.
